Tetra Tech

Tetra Tech is a private engineering and scientific services company working in the Indo-Pacific region to address illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing, promote sustainable fisheries, and conserve marine biodiversity.

Through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Sustainable Fish Asia Technical Support (SuFiA TS) contract, Tetra Tech provides technical products and services as requested by regional partner organizations in the Indo-Pacific to address unsustainable and illegal fishing, promote fair labor on fishing vessels, and advance marine biodiversity conservation.

SuFiA TS is an investment being made by the American people in support of the U.S.-ASEAN Strategic Partnership. A critical part of our work is including the participation of traditionally disadvantaged or marginalized groups—including small-scale, migrant, and stateless fishers—within regional fisheries management efforts and decision-making. Epowering and giving a voice to such local stakeholders not only promotes a fair, legal, and sustainable international seafood trade across the Indo-Pacific, but can also help identify and address unsustainable and illegal fishing operations bing conducted by foreign state actors that threaten food and economic seurity, maritime security, and regional peace and order.
